my book blog - life on the refrigerator door

Life on the refrigerator door.

How would you feel if you barely talk to your mum in person?

If you love stories about a teenager living in today’s society, than you will love Life on the refrigerator door by Alice Kuiper’s.

Life on the Refrigerator door by Alice Kuiper’s is a book about a teenage girl, Claire and her mum. Claire’s mum would always be at work and whenever Claire or her mother would want to do something Claire would always be busy studying or being social with the guy she likes, Michael. The only way that they communicate is by writing notes and sticking them on the refrigerator door. The notes would say about how were their days or anything they need to do.

Claire is an ordinary 15 year old girl in high school but Claire Hardly sees her mother, Claire tries to spend an equal time with her father as well as her mum. She visits her father every now and then. Clare becomes a different person over the novel with events happening to her, Clare soon realises that the ones she loves are slipping away so quickly.

I enjoyed this book quite a lot, though it took me a while to realise that this book was in notes. The message I found in this book is always find time for the ones you love, as you don’t always know what’s coming next.
Warning - Make sure you have a box of tissues with you when you’re reading this book!
