Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

                      "Catching Fire
A book you cant put down

“Catching fire” is all about death, fighting for survival and remembrance.

Throughout the book is the thrilling events of the Victory tour and the Quarter Quell .The setting for “Catching Fire” is all the districts of Panem and the Cornucopia. Though the book is not the first book in the series, “The Hunger games” it is just as heart stopping if not even more.

The main character Katniss Everdeen is only seventeen years old and has just been selected as a tribute for district 12.Katniss has dark brown hair and beautiful light grey eyes. One of Katniss friends is Peeta, the district 12 male tribute; in catching fire Katniss is determined to save Peeta as she thinks she owes him something after he threw her the bread before the “hunger games”. “I realize only one person will be damaged beyond repair if Peeta dies. Me.” Katniss soon realises she is in love with Peeta and help each other to stay alive during the Quarter Quell. Katniss is a girl who has to hunt to ensure there is food for her family; Katniss was made to look after her family after her father’s sudden death in the district mines.

The reason I like Katniss is because she would do anything for her family and close friends, even die. The setting and time period in the hunger games trilogy, is the future where there are twelve districts and one capital. The message set in “Catching fire” is stick with your friends and trust the people you love.

“Catching Fire” a book you can’t put down, the reason I loved this book and many others do to is because it set in the future it a story all about teenagers put into an arena made to fight each other until death and it is a love story all at the same time. “Catching Fire” was amazing and very hard not to fall in love with it.
