Megan by Mary Hooper.

Could you imagine being pregnant at the age of 15?

The novel Megan is about a teenage girl and who falls pregnant with her ex-boyfriend Luke.

Throughout the book, Megan has to make the biggest decision of her life. To decide whether she’s going to be able to keep the baby and what would her friend’s think of her. Also, being 15 years old, could you image not being able to go out without getting looked at constantly with a baby bump? What will happen to her exams and school work? What would your mum say if you were pregnant?

The setting changes continually throughout the story. At the beginning of the story the setting was based at her High School. Then changed to her house where the rest of the book was set.

My opinion is that it lets teenagers know that it’s not a good idea to have a baby at a young age, but it shows how she still manages to cope while being a teenager. I would recommend this book to the age of 12 years and up.
